Variable Texts
LabelWork supports the serial print functions. For this, so-called parameters are defined in the design phase, that are replaced by real values during printing. The variable values can be assigned in various different ways:
Automatic numbering
A variable can be defined as a running number under definition of start and step.
Data from a data base
LabelWork is able to obtain data from any kind of data base for which an ODBC driver is available.
Date
A variable can be defined as a date or as a date combined with the time in different formats.
Data from a text file
Variables can be read from structured text files with various separator characters.
Manually entered data
A special option leads to the data retrieval for variable data before each single label gets printed.
Data from an Excel-Table
Variable data can be directly transferred to the label from Microsoft Excel during printing.
